About The School

HKA is a non-profit, international school enrolling 500+ students from over 40 nationalities. Founded on the premise that all students bring a unique set of talents and strengths to the school, HKA provides a highly personalised, student-centred programme that encourages all learners to fulfill their greatest potential. Small class sizes, a low student to teacher ratio and strong home-school partnerships are central to nurturing their diverse and inclusive community. HKA is one of the few schools in Hong Kong that provides opportunities for students with special needs to be integrated into the mainstream classrooms; they have the ability to meet the needs of accelerated learners as well as students requiring learner support. As one of only seven fully-authorised three programme International Baccalaureate (IB) World Schools in Hong Kong, HKA offers the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. All graduates earn the HKA Diploma and Global Citizen Diploma certificate. The majority also pursue the IB Diploma or complete IB courses and go on to secure international university qualifications and employment in a wide range of professions. Beyond the classroom, students are offered over 100 co-curricular options encouraging them to pursue their interests and contribute to their communities. HKA competes in both local and regional sports leagues and is home to the International Schools Theatre Association of Performing Arts (ISTA), Hong Kong. Their purpose-built campus and sustainable operating practices were recognised by the Green Building Council of Hong Kong and awarded Gold BEAM status in October 2020.
